On June 3rd, UCEF Chief Development Officer Alex Kuzma greeted Fr. Edward Young, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ansonia, Connecticut, during a luncheon celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Fr. Young’s ordination to the priesthood.  Fr. Young served as the Vice-Rector of the Lviv Theological Academy (LTA) in Lviv, Ukraine, during the early years of its reestablishment in the 1990s.  Eventually, the LTA expanded into two institutions: Holy Spirit Seminary and the Ukrainian Catholic University.  Fr. Young and Kuzma have been friends for many years, and Kuzma had the honor of conducting the Yevshan Ukrainian Vocal Ensemble in singing the responses at the June 3rd Divine Liturgy celebrating Fr. Young’s jubilee.
